A goblin is a thing that has taken too much life. Taken so much that the life seeps into the thing, and they aren't separate anymore. Namjoon is a sword. Once, most of him was a general who wielded the sword, loyal and fierce, proud and cursed. But he was also a blade that fell in a field, thrown with the honorless corpse of that general, and laid there in human blood, in the wind and the rain. He has memories of that time, memories that have a different pattern from human time, that don't measure time in seconds or days or sunsets or winters. His human memories, most of them, are the general Kim Nam Joon. They hurt, like picking up a shattered mirror, cutting yourself on the edges. For years he picked them up over and over, trying to make himself numb to them. These days he leaves them, like the broken thing they are, swept into a closet to gather dust. Sometimes he wishes more memories were of the time as a sword.

There’s also this fantastic Namkook that’s also a Goblin AU, but one that fixes the issues with the actual Goblin tv show and I am absolutely unhinged for the side pairings in this.

But it's not his fault that the damn Olympic athlete Ortho intern, Jeon Jungkook, is most stupidly hot person he's ever seen in real life. And worse: Jungkook keeps seeking him out, too, in all the dark and vulnerable places in the hospital, until he finds Taehyung at a dark and vulnerable place, too.
