What are the odds?

Not quite the same but as a kid I hated grapefruit. Slathered in sugar, digging out segments with a fussy spoon. 70s childhood ick. Then I was in a meeting as a young adult and I saw a guy eat a whole grapefruit like an orange. Savagely peeled and ate it. I was astounded. It’s my favorite fruit now.

I remember the last night that my ex attacked me physically. One way I found comfort then was reminding myself that this was the bottom. Nothing could get worse than this, so at least I have that. I feel so sad for that woman who probably felt that exact same way, and then Rudy Giuliani showed up.
