US senators poised to reject Trump’s proposed massive science cuts Committee gives first hint that policymakers might preserve, rather than slash, funding for US National Science Foundation and other agencies.

I think a pocket rescission is Vought’s only path forward this Fiscal year. He only has75 days and there is more support for NIH than NPR or foreign aid. For example, Republican senators have rejected cuts at NSF already: www.science.org/content/arti...

Can you provide a reference for this? I have not seen reporting that Vought will bring an official NIH rescissions package. I do agree that OPM is probably considering an illegal pocket rescission.

What happens to NIH funding if OMB tries a pocket rescission but the courts deliberate on the issue past the end of the fiscal year?

Drucker was a Lecturer at Frankfurt University in February 1933 when this took place, roughly 1 month after Hitler took power.

@minnajohansson.bsky.social Thanks for writing this paper. Too many people overstate the benefit and understate the opportunity costs of promoting of individual behavior change in primary care.
