Feeling heartbroken tonight learning that this little lady (front border collie in pic) has a leg tumor diagnosed as sarcoma. Leila is 14, and she’s had a good life since we found her at the shelter… she’s been the bestest girl. Goodbye is so very hard.

- "Fuck ICE" is a normie position now
- People are MASSIVELY pissed off about Sen. Padilla being wrestled to the ground in LA

Sending detailed information about an upcoming military strike on unclassified channels (and even to the wrong guy) is wrong, reckless, and obviously a threat to American troops.

The most obvious lesson to draw from the leaked Signal chat is that these people really are morons. It's not a public act, it's not a schtick, there's not some secret back room where they drop the facade. They are genuinely stupid, incompetent people.

It is important that people understand and accept as fact that our government is compromised. I don't mean compromised in some cloak-and-dagger sense, I simply mean that this government no longer accepts core democratic principles and is angling toward an autocracy that's part of a New Axis of Evil.

This is a disaster, and will be particularly bad after a weather disaster. People will die and there will be vast economic costs from this. It's not about saving taxpayers' money. It's about disassembling the government.

Been reflecting on this quote today from Robin Wall Kimmerer in “The Serviceberry”. Reminds me also, of this wisdom from Maya Angelou: “no one of us can be free until everybody is free.” Urging my fellow Americans to think with me about these words and what they might mean at this moment in time.
