But you need to act quickly - as the deadline is March 10th

17.02.2026 16:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Middle left makes me think of a wood (brown section) on a distant ridge above a field of wheat (yellow section) - you just can't see the tops of the trees in the wood because they've been cut off from the image.

17.02.2026 13:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And that's the quarterly John Hopkins COVID Long Study survey completed for the first time this year. I always forget I signed up to do this until the email comes in to ask me to complete this quarter's survey. Doesn't bother me, though - only takes roughly 5 minutes to do.

Wow! Do birds often sit in your hand like that?
17.02.2026 10:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Very cold here, but also blue skies and sunshine!
Enjoy the walk!
I get that a lot 'cos I'm always talking to birbs. I even coo at the pigeons and sometimes they *don't* fly off. A lady in the park recently called me a 'Blackbird whisperer' because one came very close to me (about half a metre away) while looking for insects under the leaves.
17.02.2026 10:12 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh noes! That's awful.

17.02.2026 07:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0First birds of my day: a Robin singing from atop the gatepost, competing gaily with a Dunnock, who was in full-throated song atop the roof ridge opposite. Meanwhile, a pair of Magpie bobbed & rattled from a chimney further up the street & a Herring Gull yelled overhead.
