Nerdy but probably not as nerdy as you. Dad to a cute kid. Husband to a cute wife. Good at a lot of things. Toad enthusiast who runs @toadfacts.
Both of them look like Bored Apes that have come to life.
11.11.2025 17:24 β π 26 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I think it's kind of neat that, if you're lucky enough to find one in their catalog, you can officially name a toad after someone just by making a totally reasonable donation to a non-profit organization.
Seems like that's something you could crowdfund pretty easily *stares at camera*
So he still looks dumb, just not quite as dumb.
08.11.2025 20:43 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If only there were some way to create lists on some piece of technology that stores things online in an easily accessible place! Maybe even something you have in your hand right now!
08.11.2025 16:05 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My wife was just telling me that it snowed in her hometown in SD today, while here in FL sheβs in a sundress and sandals.
Weβre about to get that cold weather too though. In early November. Guess itβs time to empty the hurricane tubs.
Wonder how many folks making $70k/yr happen to have $52k sitting in the bank for that downpayment?

Halletβs Hot Lunch from Mama Dilo's in Winter Haven, FL.
Grilled turkey, roast beef, provolone, smoked cheddar, Thousand Island dressing, and their "Italian salad" which is basically chopped iceberg with Italian dressing.
It's a mess of a sandwich but always hits the spot.
I love Spadefoots because they always look like they've seen something shocking. Every time I see one, I think of this photo.

Beaver Moon? I got your Beaver Moon right here!
06.11.2025 01:05 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I really loved my PT Cruiser. It was comfy, useful, reliable, and absolutely adorable.
05.11.2025 18:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's the poor keming that does it for me.
05.11.2025 16:44 β π 16 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I haven't ever used Spotify, but this playlist sounded like fun, so I created a copy of this playlist on YouTube music and it's been my favorite playlist for months now. I was only vaguely familiar with a couple of these bands and now I love them all so much, and I just wanted to say thanks.
05.11.2025 14:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We spent months under clouds and I was sad because the Seestar was getting dusty. Our last couple of nights have been pretty nice though, and it's been getting down into the 50's!

Okay, I went back out tonight with a clearer sky and the knowledge that I gained last night and took what I think is a much better picture of Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon).
I'm quite happy with this one.
For fuck's sake. I'm gonna get nightmares now.

I finally had the opportunity to take a few minutes at dusk and run down the road to a nearby field with an unobstructed western view to see if I could get a photo of Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon). This is an okay shot, but I might try again soon if I get the chance.

The Moon, First Quarter phase.
Had a bit of time before cloud cover rolled in tonight, so I grabbed a few shots of the moon and the Triangulum Galaxy. The Triangulum Galaxy is the third largest galaxy in our Local Group, after the Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way.

Anna removed the bill from a cheap baseball cap, and once paint was finished I used pop rivets and hot glue to secure the hat inside the Anna head shaped hole. Itβs snug at first and kind of forms to her head after she wears it for a bit.
25.10.2025 16:33 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The bottom of the Great Stone Dragon head, showing the cardboard ring temporarily taped into place.
Into that hole I taped a 1β strip of cereal box, then used craft paper machΓ© to secure that on both sides.
25.10.2025 16:33 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have an βAnna head shapeβ from a previous project, made using a pair of cardboard calipers I made. I found the balance point by balancing the head on a scrap of wood, and cut the head shape out of a piece of cardboard at that spot, then used paper machΓ© to secure the cardboard to the head.
25.10.2025 16:33 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I mentioned this in the alt-text, but if you want more info on the paper machΓ© method I use, see the wonderful instructions at manningkrull.com/manningmakes..., who taught me everything I know about paper machΓ©. @manningkrull.bsky.social is also an awfully nice guy that you should follow.
25.10.2025 01:35 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0A woman hiding in bushes wearing a red outfit and a 5K badge around her neck. She is holding a giant paper machΓ© version of the head of the Great Stone Dragon. It has pointy cartoon teeth and angry eyebrows.
A pile of Amazon and Cheerios boxes, taped together with black masking tape and covered in plastic wrap. It is vaguely in the same shape as the paper machΓ© head in the previous photo.
The same pile of boxes now covered in four layers of paper machΓ©, now with cardboard pieces outlining the mouth, nose, and neck ornamentation. It has semispherical eyes and 3D printed horns. A clipboard is leaning in the background with reference photos of the Great Stone Dragon in Disney's Mulan (1998)
The previous cardboard shapes now covered in six layers total of paper machΓ©. This version is very colorful because it's on the "newsprint" layer. I used pieces torn from old Scholastic Books catalogs, so they were very colorful. For more info on the paper machΓ© method I use, see the wonderful instructions at https://manningkrull.com/manningmakesstuff/my-paper-mache-method, who taught me everything I know about paper machΓ©.
My lovely @chieflotsahair.bsky.social runs all three Wine and Dine races at Disney World every year and we tend to go a little overboard with the costume for the 5K. This year's 5K theme was Mushu's Breakfast, so her costume was Mushu (Mulan, 1998) wearing the Great Stone Dragon's head as a hat.
25.10.2025 01:35 β π 22 π 3 π¬ 3 π 0I have an S50, thatβs mainly why I was curious. Iβve not seen one stacked in the Seestar that didnβt have star and/or comet trailing, and this looks great on both fronts.
