McSweeney won't be missed. (Or long remembered.)

But the rot goes much deeper. It wasn't one adviser who decided to send Mandelson to the US to suck up to Trump.

It was the prime minister and the whole rotten logic of the government's Trump appeasement.

That must end.

The Green surge shows British politics has reached a turning point - and it has surprisingly little to do with Zack Polanski | Aditya Chakrabortty At a party event in a school hall in Lewisham, people told me how disillusionment with Labour has led to this moment, says Guardian columnist Aditya Chakrabortty

I tried to watch the reform party political broadcast. But all I learned is that Nigel Farage doesn't know how to use a weather forecast and that he "likes the sea".

As unilluminating and as nauseating as the Melania filme

Reform Political Broadcast. What a load of claptrap. They criticise our NHS when we all know what Farage actually plans for the NHS. They criticise and criticise and tell us they are going to improve everything but there is no word about how they will do it. Nothing but hatred.

Visio (planning software) was Microsoft's, I think it's deprecated now. Visio (conferencing software) is part of the open source LaSuite, maintained by the French government.

France announced today it’s phasing out Teams, Zoom, etc. to be replaced with a French/European solution called Visio. The data is hosted on Outscale. Transcripts and subtitles are also handled by French providers. The target is set on 2027 for government agencies.

I think a lot about Parmy Olson's observation that AI companies actively push everyone to talk about existential risk, because it distracts from more prosaic current day concerns like copyright theft, conditions for data workers, energy & water use, and their financial situation

If Maduro has barely been mentioned lately, think what else hasn't been reported.

In this video, I run through various things that have happened in the last 2 weeks in the US that really matter even if they aren't making the front pages.

POLIO. Deadly, crippling, preventable.

My first tricycle was passed on by the next door neighbours, whose kid couldn't ride it any more because of polio. I was three years younger, caught the vaccine window.

Write to peers. Tell them what you think. Support assisted dying. A small number of peers are about to kill the #AssistedDyingBill. Not only would this be undemocratic and an abuse of their power, it would come as a uninimagable tragedy to terminally ill people.
