I am deathly allergic to flowers—like will stop breathing if I get too close to them. That said, I still wanted my first attempt at painting something that exists to be floral because they sure are pretty to look at… from a safe distance. #painting #floral #flowers

14.02.2025 21:41 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Recently, it is now a reminder of how all empires fall, the value of community over self, and the importance of equal justice and opportunity.
Always, it will be a book shared by a father who wanted to open the universe for his child to explore.
Early, it was an epic romp—à la LAWRENCE OF ARABIA—full of grand heroes, wicked villains, powerful women, and unworldly creatures.
Later, it became a book of defiance, political intrigue, and a lesson to, as Frank Herbert himself said, “beware of heroes.”
I must break the rules for my 20th pick. This layered book has been my favorite since I was 9. My evolving comprehension of this story is a time capsule for my development into adulthood. It is appropriate for a tale ruminating on how humans change over time and circumstance.
