You being able to control the camera or deciding to stand up, sit down or leaaning on a desk whole talking to the other party. It’s very natural compared to the typical BioWare cutscene to me. I think first person does a lot, it also makes the game stand out from the Witcher, which the is good.

In the final cutscenes of the game, where the first person perspective becomes a tool for the meta narrative of your V leaving their body behind (depending upon your ending) or you leaving then behind. And there’s just something cool about the first person controls in dialogue conversations..

I still care what my character looks like cause I have some investment in a character I created, but I don’t need to always see them any more than I always need to see myself in a mirror. And in Cyberpunk I’ve found it’s a lot more impactful when you see your V in a mirror and..

I don’t need to constantly have that character to be visible to me cause I know what they look like I created Them they are in my head, and maybe I will have a character sheet with an approximation of their design that I can look at. I think of Cyberpunk the same way.

So, as someone whom has played a lot of CRPGs and now dabbled a bit into table top, I’ve found the most powerful tool for roleplaying is imagination. Especially for character creation. I’ll tell the DM and the players who my character is and what they look like and that’s it. Tbc

Almost every video game and their mother is a third person game these days I think it’s great they are sticking to their guns here. I also agree that the dialogue system in Cyberpunk is Only as good and immersive as it is partially because of the first person camera.

I dunno I would not rather play Alien Isolation in third person it would be a lesser game of it was another third person game.

Imagine not complaining about Gen-AI which is generally the kind of AI people “won’t stop complaining about” couldn’t be me.

Listen I get it, the game is extremely punishing like Jak 2 levels of miserable. The final boss with Drek is some Souls series levels of frustration.But yeah.

I liked Ratchet 1 because Ratchet at least had some character growth before he became boring. Also the Music slapped but you know that was he case for the whole trilogy.
