Right now... Young people with diagnosable levels of mental distress have almost doubled since 2017. Demand for mental health services has never been higher, with nearly 2 million young people in contact with services in October 2024. But well over half of young people considered to have a mental health condition have no contact with NHS services. Young people deserve better.
