Unfiltered photo captured from my deck this morning. Hues are varying from aqua blue to purple to orange persimmon- and then back to purple and blue hues..framed out with tall pine trees lining the fresh dusted snow covered dirt road. Clock says 6:44 am and I’ve been awake most of the evening. (Minor exception to one small dream before waking.) It’s a cold morning in the house, maybe 48 degrees ❄️, heading down from the loft with coffee and fire making a priority... but then that light grabbed my eyes and priorities changed. Almost feeling magnetized to it all, I stepped outside half dressed to catch this second & these hues.. and then I heard the roars resonating over the hill & into valley. Is it dusk or dawn? Or is it just a dream? (WIP)

Lost in seconds,
layered in longevity..

A large, old chestnut tree in Lo For, Arnad. Ancient Celtic peoples, who lived here, believed that touching the wood evoked the benevolent spirits of the trees. In the photo, birches surround the large tree, their slender, white trunks swaying in the wind. The ground is covered in dry leaves, and in the background are snow-capped mountains and a blue sky.
