Marcus, being from ancient Rome -- and more to the point, being a soldier -- knows it's probably best to keep the Gods and Fortuna on your side. He keeps an eye out for Omens, Good and Bad, and he'll always -- *always* --enter through a doorway right foot first -- (4/5)

grounded person, more concerned with the hear and now than any future what ifs (Well aside from the dread of looming deadlines, but that's just Grad School Life and she takes it on with gallows humor and the grim determination to plough through xD) (3/5)

There's a certain level of judgement implied in the word "superstition" that I'm not *entirely* fond of -- It's a word generally applied by other people *to you* if you get my meaning. None of my characters would think of *themselves* as superstitious I think (1/5)

Have secret meetings with the old gods in the dark end of the forest.

As I said, time often has a way of stealing things away. Objects, People become…lost…” He looked up, eyes resting on her. And she saw it, that thing she couldn’t help but recognize. The reason he was here, why she was, why any of the museum’s staff were. That longing to hear another language, long forgotten. To reach out and be able to know, really know another time. To touch it. To speak to and hear one of those forgotten, lost voices. For an instant she almost felt safe enough, even to tell him the truth. For an instant he looked as though he couldn’t possibly not believe her, if she did.

Hrmmm...Sherwood Smith maybe? Crown Duel was one of my favorite books as a teenager (I should actually revisit it again, now that I think on it) and was super influential to my own writing. (1/2)

Marcus, the Centurion that just kind of...showed up in her kitchen has kind of quickly found himself as an honorary brother to her as well. She feels responsible for him, and really does care about his wellbeing. You just kind of...end up bonding quickly in a situation like theirs, I guess xD

If you were to ask Christine, she'd probably say the most important people in her life are her family -- her grandparents, who raised her, her brother, her sister, and so many family friends who she grew up with coming and going from the house and thinking of as family themselves

As for how my MC, Christine's approach to relationships? Ah...she doesn't have much of one xD They aren't exactly the first thing on her mind at the best of times, so...

There's obviously a bit of negotiation and figuring things out involved considering that so many cultures and time periods have kind of been brought together into one community. Most of the time-travelers have tried to adapt to modern norms atleast somewhat, just to get through the day
