Today I’m remembering the horrific ordeal the Israeli people were subjected to two years ago today and thinking of all those still suffering as a result of these events 😢.

Crossing patrols *right outside* school entrance shouldn't be needed (with School Streets or other design changes), apart from schools on main roads of course. But slightly further away from schools, where pupils come from multiple directions, it's harder to justify infra & patrols are more needed

Indeed. That can give space for a build out to create a more direct // crossing. The only real alternative is a signalled junction which is usually far too expensive!

A zebra crossing but with cycle markings on the footway making it clear it's for cycling too, leading to cycle tracks either side

I really need to restart my project on deconstructing parallel crossings, looking at how they're used in the real world, by *all* road users. IMO mid block crossings (which that effectively is, despite being near a junction) are the worst use case precisely because they require sharing footways.

I had a record of all UK parallel crossings (now a bit out of date), will look at it. Off the top of my head, there is this in Richmond Rd Hackney but it was implemented *before* #TSRGD 2016 so isn't a good example to use! maps.app.goo.gl/YdBkR1FH81ft...

Yes, that's a problem. Which is why I've been using #Sync2Cloud for many years to get round (syncing work & personal calendars on *both* platforms) & it (mostly) works well once rules are set up cloud.sync2.com
