He’s clearly never watched Rocky. Most of us were aghast at the unfairness that Rocky had to overcome in comparison to the gym equipment Ivan had at his disposal. Outdoor gym equipment is essential on that basis alone. Rocky would not have benefited from a fixed drain cover much in comparison.

It's maddening for those of us who have been researching and developing these designs for decades (under very careful trials and monitoring), carefully making sure they are safe; to have politicians wade in making snap decisions and statements on something they have very little experience on.

Removing would be a huge legal quandary, as even if legislation was changed; Highways authorities could not remove them without putting lives at risk. No officer is going to remove them knowing they would be personally responsible under CDM for the likely death or injury that would likely follow.
