I meet with a new neurologist in the morning (the third so far). Now taking bets on whether she’ll be willing to treat me and my ultra-rare disease and liaise with my specialty team in Pittsburgh? I’m going in with low expectations.

I know the disease I have. I know roughly how it’s going to progress. So what if I want to skip some of the pushing through the pain part if there’s a better way to experience life while I’m still at THIS level of function?

Having big feelings tonight about how I reject the idea that I have to endure some sort of suffering threshold before I’m allowed assistive devices or pain relief.

If you're using AI to write essays, eulogies, a text to your wife, I do think less of you as a person. Ceding your mental and creative abilities to a machine is an embarrassing thing and people should be ashamed to admit doing it in public.

I've already met with two neurologists who have no interests in treating somebody with a disease they don't understand and now I'm having trouble finding another, even with an urgent referral.

Thankfully I didn’t have to yell at a person this time. That sounds incredibly frustrating.

Even though every human on the phone was kind and helpful I'm still amped up and feeling very uncomfortable. Just staff your support centers. Allow people to speak to humans and ask for help. This is madness.

Just called US Bank and they didn't give me a voice option to say what I needed, and they wouldn't recognize "Representative". I had to shout FUCKING REPRESENTATIVE and that worked. I **hate** when I have to be angry, even at a computer, to get somebody to listen. It doesn't have to be this way.

I'll give this to the #GlowforgeAura, it handled the fire like a champ. I didn't even know it happened even though I was 15 feet away, and after a quick vacuum and a 1-minute wipe-down that I do after prints anyway, there's zero evidence the fire ever happened.

YUP. I'm impressed that it contained it so much that I didn't even notice, but... yeeeeeeeah.

So my Glowforge just burnt a piece of leather to ash, and that's why you don't leave a Glowforge unattended. Yikes.

I’m about $600 short on mortgage this month. I didn’t expect that Etsy closing my shop would be this destructive but I’m in trouble and I’m scared. I hate this. I have money coming in from this massive gig but I won’t see it for 90 days because this client sucks for terms.

I'm in a truly shit mental place tonight and with the deadline that I have tonight it isn't helpful. My poor spouse has been trying to guide me through it and I haven't been able to be receptive, which is just deepening the spiral. This sucks and honestly I just need like a lot of sleep.
