I feel like I need to note that while I have a lot of writer buddies, Slayton isn’t one of them. I just really, really love this series and think urban fantasy fans need to discover it.

We just had a $1000 unexpected but emergency bill, found out my dental work was NOT covered and the job lead situation is dry and I’m spiraling today.

Husband didn’t get the job. Trying not to feel hopeless about it.

Tomorrow is our 20th wedding anniversary. Everyone keeps asking if we’re doing anything special and lol we’re both unemployed but joke’s on them because I get to spend tomorrow with my favorite person in the whole wide world. I don’t need more than him.

BUT the husband has a third interview, a second interview with another company, and freelance in-the-meantime options. I’ve also got opportunities coming up in January. I’m extremely bummed but not giving up.

Not encouraging but not final news of Dreamjob. Went from requesting a second interview to… “we’ll reach out if we have next steps” and closing out my invoice. So at this point I’m assuming I didn’t get it and leaving room to be surprised.

I lit my social anxiety on fire today and cannot calm down. I was supposed to vend at a derby match this weekend and I think I’m just too scared to it. I just feel very scared.

All books aren’t precious. It’s okay to get rid of a book. It’s okay to put it in the garbage if it’s damaged, if you hated it even. Donating is great, passing on is great, but it’s okay to get rid of a book.
