Columbia administrators have chosen to make their school's name synonymous with the suppression of journalists. They need to feel the full consequences of treating press freedom like a bauble to be worn on fancy occasions or left in the jewel box.

The Pulitzers must be removed from Columbia.

This school cannot be allowed to remain the pre-eminent j-school in the country. All that respect and reputation in journalism needs to be taken from it, for the sake of the credibility, standards, and ethics of journalism as a profession.
