My employer once had a *whole episode* of Last Week Tonight dedicated to it. I can tell you that the show/writers don’t care much about the details of a situation-it’s only about what they can mine for a laugh.

I thought the short ring from last year was kinda quaint.

Is it the one with the Ric Meyers commentary track? If so, that’s the best version at the moment. The reason I ask is Tai Seng released it on DVD three seperate times and only the edition with the commentary track is decent

The HK blu ray is not great unfortunately many think it’s a standard def upscale

That’s a great question. Full Contact is part of the GP library. So it should be coming. And I’d certainly put it out before something like Tiger on the Beat. What’s curious is that it was listed as coming soon to the Criterion Channel and then just never appeared there.

I wasn’t aware about Macross but I think the recent Blu I bought of Ninja Scroll was taken from that new HD restoration. It looks very nice

It got a lotta replay in my house growing up too-- that, as well as Golgo 13, Macross Plus, MD Geist, Vampire Hunter D, Battle Angel, and of course Akira. All the Blockbuster Video "Japanamation section" staples.
