Ahaha. Every time I start planning a new novel, I feel like I forget how to put together a semi-coherent plot. How do I make story again? 😅

I'd probably call it something like "I Became a Villainess but Rewrote the Story Because Fuck That Shit"

I want to write an isekai story about an author who ends up the villainess of her own story, but instead of being precious about protecting the story's integrity, she goes balls-to-the-wall to make sure she becomes the heroine of the story.

So, anyway, I finished drafting a thing. It might need some fleshing out before it's really done, though. 😅

Me, outlining: Oh, man. This MS is going to be a beefy beast, and I am there for it.

Me, drafting: ...why is this thing barely novella length? WHERE DID ALL THE WORDS GO? 😱

My absolute favorite character trop is the stoic man who is a secret (and very awkward) cinnamon roll.

Why does "stubbornness" have so many double letters!? 😩

The political wheelings and dealings in this MS just a lot more twisty and involved and I did not plan for this at all what am I going to doooooooo 😱

My character now, through dint of typo, has a shoulder bog.

I'll admit, as a self-proclaimed bog witch, I'm a little jealous.

Hahaha. This book's timeline is such a mess. It'll be great fun to fix in rewrites. 😅

"Lackadaisical" is one of those words that always feels like a triumph to spell correctly on the first try.

I haven't done much promo for this. (I'm sorry. Let's just say it was apathy caused by depression and leave it at that) But!

Working on formatting My Primitive Alien Exile, and I just had one of those strange moments where you stare at a word too long and start wondering if that's really how it's supposed to be spelled.

"Language" is, indeed, spelled correctly, but it sure doesn't look like it. 😅

Words matter! It makes me so sad when they're used wrong. 😂😭

Do any other sci-fi readers get annoyed when an author uses "universe" and "galaxy" interchangeably? Like, my friend, these things are NOT the same.

Holy crap guys. Day started out a little rough with an unexpected plumbing emergency. But my little online store also opened today and it's already had enough sales to cover that sudden unexpected expense.

I think the absolute best thing I've read all year is "Beware the Villainess." Such a good manhwa. 😍

I've been mildly (read majorly) obsessed with webtoons recently. But man, I gotta say. Every time there's a horse, it's something of a jump scare. Those mofos are uuuuuuuuuuuugly.

There are two things I struggle writing: Action sequences and sex scenes.

Which is absolutely hilarious if you think about it since I'm a romance writer. At least I can mostly avoid writing epic fight scenes. 😂

Any title suggestions for this one? The working title has been "Running the Reach" which I'm not totally enamored with. But I am enamored with the painting! Sunsets, wild west spaces, and Mercy as a coyote all make me happy.

I vacillated pretty hard about the wings, but finally decided to keep them. Since he lived in a dense(ish) jungle with ginormous trees, I decided I didn't want him flying outright. Instead, his wings are designed for gliding, and can act as a secondary set of hands if necessary. (4/?)

I *did* have some idea of how I wanted the male lead for the first book to look. His is an arboreal people, so big feet designed for holding onto branches were a must. Prehensile tail? Yes, please. Wings? (3/?)
