We did the math on AIβs energy footprint. Hereβs the story you havenβt heard.
The emissions from individual AI text, image, and video queries seem smallβuntil you add up what the industry isnβt tracking and consider where itβs heading next.

I love this, especially "reframing testing as learning". In my Psychology 104 class, students have to create a study guide for each exam. Study guides are only questions they come up with. It's such a great way to study. Also teaching your dog or your stuffies like it was a class.

It's bonkers that in academic science we spend hours obsessing over the wording of a paper, but often only one person has seen the code that produced the results! 2/N

Measurement approaches in climate action research
Behavioral scientists across disciplines study the determinants of climate actions. They aim to describe, predict, explain, and change the behavioral β¦
One of the most frequent questions I get is how to measure pro-environmental behaviors. I always reply: what is the research question? Finally, someone has provided a flowchart to help.

Even accepting the premise that AI produces useful writing (which no one should), using AI in education is like using a forklift at the gym. The weights do not actually need to be moved from place to place. That is not the work. The work is what happens within you.
