Let’s not forget that if Trump wins a third term the Supreme Court could still deem that newly reelected VP Vance is the actual legitimate president at 12:01 on Jan 20 2029. The ultimate coup, Trump screaming as President Vance has him removed from the premises.

I can’t help thinking that many Democrats will only grasp how serious things are when Trump uses federal forces to arrest senior Democratic senators and governors and the American people surprise the world by not going all John Wayne/Rambo but just taking it like a nation of surrender monkeys.

Absolutely. In fairness most of today’s Democrats would cheer on the Republican party’s humiliating defeat of the Confederacy and the grinding of the Democrat Traitor Lee’s slaver army into the ground. Republicans are right to be proud of US Army boots being wiped on the stars and bars.

How about putting up statues of Republican Presidents Lincoln and Grant in every former Confederate state capitol. That would solve the Democrat problem.

Whatever about Trump’s policies, you have to marvel at the fact that 49% of US voters KNOWINGLY voted for a guy with the personality of a stroppy spoiled teenager.

And what % of those victims will then go on to vote GOP in the next election?

For such a militarized police force it’s quite striking how cowardly so many US cops are when coming into contact with comparable armed individuals.

If you wanted to sabotage the US place as most powerful nation, slowly dismantling its ability to collect tax revenue to fund the trillion dollar defence budget would be one way to go. Less tax, more borrowing, more debt interest payments…

There seems to be a very strong argument for restricting the ability of the president of the United States to pardon people without any congressional oversight.

One of the features of MAGA is underlings constantly having to make fools of themselves saying things they know to be untrue whilst knowing that you know what they are saying is untrue.

I’m always struck by how much these lads hate their own country. I mean, we’ve all sorts of issues here but it’s still a great country.
