It was so wonderful to attend Art on the Avenue and celebrate its 30th anniversary and honor Pat Miller with local, state, and federal commendations! I'm so grateful to all vendors and artists for their participation and our community for attending this weekend.

I was proud to join Together We Bake this morning for their annual Empowerment Breakfast! I'm so grateful for the work they do for underserved women in our region and grateful for the generosity of our community in their support!

Today, we remember the tragedy of 9/11 and honor those whose lives were taken too soon, many from our community. While we can never repay the sacrifices, their heroism will never be forgotten. We will never forget.

Last weekend, I enjoyed seeing our statewide candidates, @senatorhashmi.bsky.social and @jonesjay.bsky.social, and battleground candidate, @johnmcauliff.bsky.social around Northern Virginia! I'm so grateful for their hard work and deep commitment to making our Commonwealth a better place.

I'm excited to be endorsed by the Save the Children Action Network! Expanding access to quality early childhood care and education and reducing childhood food insecurity are two of my top priorities and I look forward to working together on these issues.

Today, I went to Richmond for the Heating and Cooling Building Code Study Group meeting where we discussed how to improve the Building Code to address residents' concerns around heating and cooling requirements. It was a fitting day to discuss air conditioning!

It was great to speak with the Alexandria Rotary Club today as they distributed grants to dozens of local nonprofits. Thank you for all you do for our community and thank you for having me!

I also wanted to highlight the amazing Alexandria City High School students I met at the rally who organize with Students Demand Action. Ruby's speech was inspiring and helped ground me in the importance of this work.

I was proud to attend and speak at the #WearOrange Rally at Market Square on Friday, hosted by @everytown.bsky.social and Alexandria Moms Demand Action. Every gun death is preventable, and I know together, we can end gun violence.

I'm excited that @abigailspanberger.com has included my proposal to protect and preserve affordable housing in her housing agenda! My bill to address VA's critical housing crisis has been vetoed two years in a row by Gov. Youngkin and I can't wait to elect a Governor who will sign and champion it.
