The thing about this very likely covid exposure is that I always feel oddly physically ill, including fever and medium trouble breathing, when I have my period. So right now I can't actually tell if I'm sick.

I will have to see if I can get an at-home test by maybe tomorrow night or so

Naur!! I will say that I do recommend much of KR's Olympus series EXCEPT for the minotaur/ariadne book because I found it to be tedious with a truly unlikeable male lead (and I once read and enjoyed a slasher dark romance inspired by the dudes from scream... So that's saying something)

I'm reading Court of the Vampire Queen and I'm 25% of the way in... it's fun. It reminds me of classic urban fantasy in some ways, only there's an MMMF relationship with swords crossing and being sheathed widely.

I've been sending my best friend the tiktoks because I enjoy making them suffer and it's just so much like... If they feel this strongly about this (which is whatever, you're allowed to feel I guess), how do they navigate ao3 regularly because that site is always perverse on that level??

And you can make your own list? I wound up having to push my kinktober back to November or December because I'm so busy this month, but my list doesn't have things on it that don't want to write?? It's that simple. If you don't like what you're seeing others do, make your list for yourself??

I think it's important to be able to articulate discomfort and express frustration because your voice is your biggest tool... and kinktober themes aside, it is deeply odd to assume that ANY kinktober list or event should or would be accessible to minors as if fandom doesn't have adult spaces.

The kinktober discourse on tiktok is fascinating to me. If you don't want to read about (and are upset by) certain things being used as play or in fiction, that's one thing

But going "think of the kids" about KINKtober (a thing I saw with my eyes as someone said they didn't know it was 🔞) is wild
