I'm here to tell you that voice actors (even very very good ones) are not expensive, more than make up for their cost in the value they bring to your game, and if Baldur's Gate can record real actors for every line of dialogue in the game, so can you for your 100 generic barks or even specific ones.

They keep inching the breaking point further and further away and the fans of their projects will do all the work for them

Voice actors are already being treated like garbage, now their industry is being eviscerated and in a game that doesn’t even credit the VO fans are insisting “this seems fair.”

I would put it to you that the major problem is NOT treating voice actors as actors.

There’s nothing irregular about them except for how often they get to show their worth.
