Having these sorts of world altering decisions grounded in organic play patterns through multiple loops is one of my back burner / long term ideas. I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this.

This is wonderfully presented. I'm part of a coop farm and we're trying our hand at community organizing in a few different contexts. Trying to externalize the process that has built our trust and resiliency. Deliberate, collective, slow. The only way.

I'm sick and watching the extended LotR. Something that comes through more strongly here is the role lies and manipulation play in escalating conflict. One of the primary signifiers of strong leadership is the ability to remain earnest and insightful in the face of attempted manipulation.

Walking uphill is a lovely idea. I've also considered using the mesh as a bounding volume and only displacing inward. I haven't thought through all the edge cases on that though, it might have other consequences.

In conversation I regularly have to remind myself "ask the question you want the answer to". Which requires taking an honest assessment of what the question is actually asking, instead of implication and wishful thinking.

I think modules don't have to all be shaders. I'm not entirely sure what the whole pipeline would look like, but I know it's used for general parallel compute as well.

Someday I'll probably have a go at writing a gpu renderer that compiles to spir-v. I love the customization of a software renderer but also want to push some computationally intensive effects.

Throwing another one out there that feels like an underlying part of your first two:

Games are an art form where the medium is the system of rules. Gameplay is "the medium is the message", rules that are there for the sake of it. Kill Gameplay is "we should have intention beyond the medium itself".

This is why urls shouldn't have the www subdomain anymore. dot tld is enough to signify one in spoken and written word.
