Something I've learned over the years is, even as an editor, giving talks at meetings opens up opportunities and connections for you that simply attending does not. This is just one small reason why organizers supporting ECRs and underrepresented scientists as (keynote) speakers is so important.

The debate between William (W. E.) Moerner and Stefan Hell has always remained in my memory and was very formative for my future career. It was simply great to be able to take part in such a unique conference as a student.

It would be fantastic to meet and exchange ideas at the 30th anniversary of the Picoquant workshop in September. I remember very well my last participation in 2019 when I was still a PhD student in Markus Sauer group.
