Delightful! You get an excellent 'how you got into this hobby story' along with your fun new hobby! (Need to get you the book binding equivalent of those 'i knit so I don't kill people' signs for your workspace/office though!)

Ooft, I mean Bong Joon Ho did make a banging little monster movie (The Host) nearly 20 years ago which I still love and recommend but then I'm not doing a Korean culture course & would expect my course mates to have/want more obscure recs than something 'won an oscar' famous.

Ensemble Barbican โ€“ Anno in theย Round A couple of years ago, having seen a particularly excellent gig by the Scottish Ensemble, I treated myself to one of their albums, Anno on vinyl, which turned out to be a reimagining of Vivaldiโ€™s Four Seasons that they commissioned from Anna Meredith for the Spitalfields Music Summer Festival festival back in 2016. Earlier this year I happened to treat myself to a copy of Max Richterโ€™s Recomposed, which is…

Guilty as charged. I have seen a lot of Helsinki's art noveau architecture - the train station in particular is still stunning - but to see it in full historical context! I'd take that as a recommendation to see the film all by itself!

Sgrรฌn โ€“ A Gaelic Filmย Festival There was a mini film festival on at Eden Court the other weekend, not only that, but it was a Gaelic film festival, which is doubly relevant to my interests. Even better, it was scheduled for a weekend when I wasnโ€™t working - not even on the Friday night - so I was able to go to everything that I fancied without juggling shifts or worrying about start and end times.

I use the word occasionally and it's variants more than occasionally and yet I can never remember if it's got two cs and an s or two s's and a c, or two of both!

I do notice from other people's answers that words that might have more than one set of double consonants do seeme to trip people up.

Delicious! Such a satisfying task! I made my first attempt at jam making yesterday - plum and apple, one of my knitting ladies had a glut and was handing out bags of them - not as pretty as yours but mostly I was just happy it set!

I finally got to visit your museum ship last month! It was so cool to see round it in person after hearing you talk about it when you worked there! (It's berthed next to 'my' museum - my first industry job after uni, working on the A/V displays there - these days which delights me!)

Look at these gorgeous autumnal colours. So much of colour in menswear seems to be either muted to the point of looking washed out or like, luminous brights. Nice to see something where the colours look warm.

Jupiter Artland Jupiter Artland is one of those arts locations that I somehow didnโ€™t know existed when I actually lived close enough to visit regularly. Or if I knew it existed I didnโ€™t realise where it was - I think Iโ€™d conflated it with Northumberlandia, or the Yorkshire Sculpture Park - so when I discovered it was just outside Broxburn of all places I was a bit discombobulated.

That I can remember, was either Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas by Jules Verne or Children of Morrow by HM Hoover, both when I was about ten. Prior to that I was much more into Fantasy and Folklore inspired stories.

Took my recorder on a wee birthday adventure to Jupiter Artland. Saw lots of cool art and managed to get some cool recordings too!

Knee Deep in the Firth: A Hydrophoneย Adventure The other day, I found myself standing, knee-deep, in the Moray Firth watching dolphins leap and play while listening to them whistle and click through my hydrophone. (I made some rather high-pitched noises of delight of my own too.) When Iโ€™d planned the recording trip with a friend, Iโ€™d only hoped to get some cool underwater wave noises, maybe get some good underwater swimming sounds of my friend to play back to her for our shared entertainment.
