I finished the MANN-Class blueprints. There was a slight setback; you can read all about it on Page 1. I was more than half-finished when I realized the ship was tooooo big. I rescaled the ship and started over. The full set of drawings are on my site at www.jbot.ca/space/32mn.s.... Enjoy.

This looks nice. Keep up the good work.
On my list of projects is the S.S BEAGLE, mentioned in "Bread and Circuses" ... I see it as a smaller vessel, perhaps the precursor to the GRISSOM.

I started another blueprint set. It is the MANN-Class Cruiser from the Spaceflight Chronology Book.
Right now I am still figuring out its size.
The deck plans will follow later; those specifics will dictate changes to surface details. It is a back-and-forth process.

My first blueprint set had the ENTERPRISE at 947 feet long. Everything does fit, but some of the solutions are contrived/clunky. I made a 2nd set to fix some of problems. Then I made a 3rd set in which I insisted on ceilings 10 feet high. That resulted in a ship 1341 feet long. Everything fits well!

Yes, the water from the sink drains into the tank for flusing the toilet. It is all recycled. The sink also serves as a step to climb out the emergency exit.

I chose a length of 28 feet for the Shuttlecraft so as to fit the interior set. This allows enough room within to fit a locker, a food replicator, storage space, and even a toilet.

These are the 4 basic designs manufactured by GENERAL PRODUCTS.

This is a fake hull, used as a disguise by a warship hidden within.

Larry Niven used one of his existing KNOWN SPACE stories to create the STAR TREK episode.

One of Larry's characters flew cruise ships between the stars for NAKAMURA LINES.

I started reading Larry Niven's stories in 1975.
Now I am making drawings of the ships. They are still being refined but here are some samples.
