Thanks! In our case, we don't know whether the centriculum nucleates microtubules. Our data suggest that it blocks a fraction of centrosome-nucleated microtubules from extending further into the cytoplasm. It basically acts like a sieve.

Microtubule enthusiasts: we are finding that the centriculum (DOI: 10.1016/j.cub.2022.12.059), a membrane reticulum that surrounds centrosome in C. elegans embryos, serves as a microtubule filter. Does anyone know of other examples where a membranous structure affects microtubule properties?

Apply to as many places as you want. If you want to be kind to your letterοΏΌ writers and youβre not using interfolio, set up a shared Google doc so they can see where you applied and can track which letters theyβve sent. Not every place requires letters initially, but itβs still helpful.
