I'm the quiet type, not confrontational, surrounded by people who vociferously defend the constant stream of lies from the current administration. It's exhausting just to make my voice heard (literally) and to keep my own thoughts straight in the flood of twisted thinking. God help us all.

That's a scary question, and I'm not too hopeful about the answer.

Good morning from a hungry little nuthatch.

We used to have a neighbor who grew them and shared his extras. They were great. He has moved away, but we're still in touch and I can ask where he got his. But we need to revamp our tomato beds. I think the soil is worn out. Between that and too much rain, it wasn't a good year for tomatoes.

It's a cactus-flowered zinnia. My favorite kind. I just wish they weren't susceptible to mildew, because we can't get away from it in this humid climate.

I want to try Sungolds or similar. My current favorite is Celebrity for being just the right size, tasty, and reliable. But I need to branch out!

Good advice, thanks. Not sure if she has had professional set up yet. Solid foundation in music theory with violin, ukulele and acoustic guitar. I'll see her tomorrow and ask how it's going.

Fun! Our 16-yo granddaughter just got her first electric guitar, and she's into bands from the sixties. I should introduce her to some of these videos. Well, except some of the lyrics are a little questionable for kids. :)
