If I pirate Adobe Photoshop, I have it, so I can be proud of it.

And claim credit for your friend’s work - hope that they don’t find out.

Live a life where neither how you feel nor what you say has any apparent basis in reality.

“I’m so proud of how clean my car looks.”

“Jim you don’t have a car.”

“I still have the right to say it.”

“Yeah, it is - the machine at the local station did a great job!”

You can agree with the sentiment without specifically being proud of a job, the quality of which you had little to no impact on.

If my friend had washed the car for me, I wouldn’t respond saying “I’m so proud of how clean it is now”

Proud of their car, or how clean it is?

Do they specifically claim credit for the latter?

I don’t share your sentiment regarding photographers; I appreciate photos for what they contain.

I could understand manually washing a car and feeling proud of how the car looks afterward.

I cannot understand putting your car through a mechanised car wash and feeling proud of the result.

If you get a haircut, you can be satisfied with the result of the work you requested; observed; commented on; and paid for.

But to feel proud of the haircut would be a sign of psychosis.

No reason to feel ashamed of outsourcing!

But #VibeCoding doesn’t make you a painter, barber, or developer.

A painter uses paint to complete a task; a patron outsources the task by providing a description of the work to be completed; feedback as necessary; and pays for it to be done.

#VibeCoders are very clearly doing the latter; not the former.

Why feel proud of work you outsourced to another party?

App developers didn’t create the programming language.

(Nor did anyone suggest that they should.)

Why was that name allowed?

It makes every sentence it features in needlessly confusing. I can't imagine how badly ESL folks struggle with it...
