Kid hanging out in pig shed. Structure is built but needs caulking, sealant, and trim.

Beds are all made and ready for plants. Veggies are growing out of their pots. Deceptively warm out, but I won't put anything in the dirt until the real farmers do. The minute I see the combines rolling, it's game on! This week, we're focusing on the pig shed. 🐖🌱 #backyardfarming #resistancegarden

There's a few people with hydroponics. I have a Letpot, buckets, and some Kratky jars, but I'm just learning. Right now, those of us with dirt gardens are propagating and getting soil ready so it's pretty much all that's in the feeds. But yeah, PLEASE share your hydroponics! 🌱 #vegetablegarden

Never used them before. They supposedly air prune the roots. Don't know what that means. I just figure it would be easier to harvest potatoes if I could dump them out instead of digging for them. Going to do carrots too. The bags are not waterproof so will need to be outside or on a tray.

Potatoes are set. Still too cold at night to put out the seedlings. Greenhouse is framed and has a roof but no sides. Hopefully next weekend it will be finished and I can start transitioning the veggies. 🌱 #vegetablegardening #resistancegarden

Started seeds for the dirt garden. Trimmed weird lettuce and moved it closer to the window. Seems happier now. First true leaves on the cucumber. Too cold for outdoor work today. Picked up building material. Next weekend plan to finish greenhouse and build a pig shed. 🌱 #gardening #resistancegarden

Greenhouse had a bit of a Scarlett O'Hara moment so starting the buckets in the house. Baby tomatoes & peppers, cukes & peas, and sweet corn. Only 2 corn sprouted so germinating more in the bucket. Potatoes are chitting. Leek and bokchoy scraps are growing. 🌱 #gardening #resistancegarden

The buckets will be going in the greenhouse so hoping not to need much supplental lighting. Pretty much just playing with stuff until it's warm enough to put things in the dirt.

I got this one www.lowes.com/pd/vevor-DWC... I've never used one before. I got lids with 4 cups. Going to do 1 bucket w/ tomato and peppers, 1 w/ peas and cukes, and 2 w/ corn. Should be fun. Hopefully stuff will grow.

Definitely lack of voter turnout that led to this mess. We have developed a culture of apathy. Where were the voter drives? The kids with clipboards going door-to-door? Political Q&A sessions at colleges and community centers? The people need hope.

Democratic Socialism is the answer but I think we need a new name without the trigger words. They block or shut out anything with "socialism" or "progressive" attached to it. I like the stated policy positions of the Alliance party but their latest candidate choice really makes me question them.
