I had a friend tell me that O’Sullivans reasoning is sound because neurodivergent kids do well in school, but not the workplace… That wouldn’t be because schools work hard at being neuro-inclusive, and most workplaces are way behind.

How do you holiday when you don’t drive? For most, people it will be hopping on a flight to a place that has active or sustainable transport. We are really missing a beat when it comes to tourism without a car through lack of safe connections.

Has the Last Word at least had anybody else on to talk about autism since Dr Suzanne O'Sullivan said this?

A “friend” had read this book and her proof that autism supports don’t work: autistic kids go to school and do well and don’t do well in work life. I responded that maybe work life needs to change so, and schools and supports aren’t the problem?

There is a name for trying to extinguish empathy and dehumanise a minority group.

People read this and her book and it allows them to trial these opinions with friends first and then in wider circles. She and those who platform her, are shifting the Overton window, on what it’s okay to say about a minority group.
