Improv pieced letters that read "To Create is To Resist". The letters are sewn from a series of tone-on-tone rainbow fabrics, with the first and last letter being red and the other letters mirroring each other, front to middle to back, in this order: pink, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, purple. The center word "Is" is pieced from tone-on-tone black fabric and the backing fabric for the entire 5 foot plus banner is white.

Not yet quilted, but this improv pieced banner is done, featuring one of my favorite quotes by concentration camp survivor and rights activist Stéphane Hessel
