08.11.2025 16:21 β π 9 π 6 π¬ 0 π 0A small trailer covered in flowers and loaded with garden plants in pots is pulled behind a bicycle.
I got this little trailer second hand and combined with thru axle takes most loads upto 40kg, + another 20kg in each pannier. But i would love a cargo bike, just for the joy of it.
06.11.2025 22:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ditto in Exeter but the hefty ones are really too fat for a D lock.
We've now got a city centre Screwfix (hurray) which saves having to pedal around the utterly unsafe Industrial estate
And never any cycle parking
06.11.2025 19:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ditto 20kg of floor levelling compound "good luck getting that on a bike".
"I'm not such a wuss that I need a truck"...
I've felt the same. But do it here. Put it in the public domaine, even if they can't be linked.
04.11.2025 08:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0An ebike control reads 7999.1 miles
Yesterday this quietly turned over to 8000 miles.
That's 8000 miles less driven.
Less pollution
Less noise
Less road danger
Less road damage
No fossil fuels burned.
You're welcome Exeter.

A rocky stream, in a wide green valley (glen) surrounded by mountains.
Another vote for Arran. Loved it.

It doesn't get clearer than that. If anyone still thinks Farage is one of them, they need to be shown this video. This is before we even mention his role in Brexit.

My latest:
Big turnout at the Exeter is For Everyone rally today that was held to oppose the far-right march through the town centre. Music, singing, chanting and a whole lot of love for diversity.

Nigel Farage would like it to all go away, but it wonβt. It happened on his watch.
Just like the failing councils his party are in charge of.

A white ford transit van is parked on a corner marked with both double yellow lines and white zigzags. There is a zebra crossing obscured by the van as a bus approaches.
When drivers park like this on zigzags, showing callous disregard for people trying to cross the road, it is reasonable to ask if they've even passed their test.

22.10.2025 15:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Net zero by 2050 to limit warming to 1.5Β°C. That may have been plausible 10 years ago, but the continued rise of emissions means that there is effectively no carbon budget left for 1.5. It is cumulative emissions that drives warming. 1/6 www.theguardian.com/environment/...

21.10.2025 22:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What is even more insane is that parked vehicles are usually prioritised over moving vehicles and humans.
Where and how someone parks is an insight into their soul.
Triple tax. They pay for access to the NHS but no-one tells them there's no NHS dentists available (absolutely none in and around Exeter) so they can be bankrupted by a root canal problem.
