I've been beating myself up for not being artistically successful after a lifetime of being told "it's all in your head." In my teens, I was very hyperfixated on radiation biology and industrial architecture to the point where I would sometimes go visit a nearby nuclear power plant. I used to wear a gear I found in an abandoned steel factory as a necklace, hahaha. Talk about weird. It's still interesting to me, though!

Cercla is a Psychonauts fan character I made when the game first came out in 2005. She is a PSI Cadet/daughter of a Chernobyl engineer, and her main PSI-Power is confusion.
Her name is a reference to a 1980's biohazard act. ☣️

Chronic illness sucks. I really spent my entire summer coloring the first pages of my comic for a pitch, then ran out of steam to write the pitch in time for the horror season, because multiple health issues took me out.

Being diagnosed with high-functioning autism/asperger's last year has been life-changing. Life isn't better yet, but everything makes sense now. It also opened my eyes to the conditions that are comorbid with autism, some of which I'm certain I have - so that's going to be another diagnosis journey.

Sometimes I think about existential philosophy, and sometimes I think about how Dr. Neo Cortex from Crash Bandicoot was born into a family of clowns in Peoria, Illinois.

The last ten years of my life have been a weird shift from "I'm going to make a big impact with my stories!" to "Okay maybe I just want to move to a remote island with only cats and live humbly and simply."

This would single-handedly transform the lives of everyone I know in such profound ways it is difficult to fully articulate, but it would also let us actually make more and different and crazy things

20/20 hindsight is being in denial about being autistic, then getting excited seeing 1900's blast furnaces.
