Time and time again, it's shocking and depressing how "shocked" people in Finland are when it comes to intimate partner / domestic violence.

Systems and society have utterly failed if we keep on being surprised and say things like "This is probably very rare. It doesn't affect me at all."

No one should be surprised that a man (allegedly) attempted to kill his (female) partner in Finland.

love this but the camera's have been offline for a while (of course they have been working on a solution). there is also a flaw in the system where only cars with a Finnish plate get fines 🤣

Have only ever had the best customer service experience from Vero [no sarcasm]. Have you tried calling them? Also worth noting that this current gov has significantly weakened their services forcing them to rely more on shortcuts and AI.

Also, vero.fi ain't irs.gov so at least there is that!

Here's a problem that is only made worse by #Finland being "too Finland for its own good".

A group of self-proclaimed racists & fascists set up an event in Oodi, the main Helsinki public library, and not for the first time. Of course, they attract dozens or even hundreds of counter-protesters.

A small side note: "it's not worth coming here" is 100% Finland's most accurate, realest tagline. Put a bird on it!

I really had to laugh out loud that the Finnish Minister of Justice -- ** in all seriousness ** -- sends her regards to "Swedish gangs" via a quote in Finnish language newspaper. Talk about an outstanding violence prevention tactic! That will show 'em! Wow!
