I think we can all suggest the couple most likely to fulfil that role in this iteration.

I know many have made this point but, for those who believe in Catholic theology, this is the physical presence of Christ appearing on the door of the US Government and being denied as that agency ran away from Christ.

The symbolism alone of that hits very hard for anyone raised as a Catholic.

I am absolutely the audience for this. Literally just me.

The idea of them doing call and response 'bom bom bom' has had me amused all day.

Joan is fundraising to help support this trial taking place in Norway

The people behind it are sound and the science looks promising so whatever the results we will learn more about ME/CFS. From the pilot it looks there may also be a real chance of a treatment for some

And circumstances differ. Some people may be in a line of work that easily adapts to changed circumstances or have a sympathetic employer or network of contacts. Most people are not.
It's likely to be the former who people point to as examples of 'but they can work...'.

There's also the fact that people often can't do what they did before. They may need to retrain, often at a time when that is more difficult.
It's also a fact that it's easier to work around a condition if you work for yourself or maybe do freelance. Those have their own challenges.

Exactly. You're more severe than me, but the same applies.
Even mild presentations of some conditions makes a huge number of jobs far more difficult, if not impossible.

We know how to find and apply for jobs. It's the availability of jobs for people with additional needs, long CV gaps, or whose illness might make them unreliable that's the problem.
This isn't difficult.

Honestly, I've said for years that GP surgeries would be an amazing base for a service where people with long-term or chronic conditions could check in and get support and monitoring. Especially good for people where there's no specialist service.

But this is their big idea.

The RIAA was suing teenagers. We had to sit through ⬇️ this shit anytime we wanted to watch a DVD. A whole generation shamed for using Limewire and torrents. Only for these silicone valley assholes to now find copyright infringement a necessary evil they shouldn’t have to answer for
