Children sit in a circle on mats at Bansa Community Library as a facilitator reads aloud from a comic book. The children listen attentively during a new Comic Corner session, with shelves of books and a chalkboard reading βComic Cornerβ visible in the background.
Today, weβre proud to open our Comic Corner, a space filled with curiosity, laughter, and imagination. This corner is dedicated to our young readers, where reading begins with joy.
You can also send comics and books for our members from their amazon Wishlist- amazon.in/hz/wishlist/...
The shop window of Bookseller Crow in Crystal Palace. Festivally decorated and full of interesting books, it positively invites you in.
These wonderful people not only have a great shop window but they now have a pile of books signed by me. I did also write the books, if youβre worried β I donβt just go in and sign random books, they frown on that. Anyway, get your books from them.

Wrting a short story is no easier than writing a novel. In fact, it's somewhat harder, because the form is less forgiving: you can get away with a certain amount of bagginess in a novel, but a short story needs to be perfectly structured; not a word out of place.

It's the national year of reading in the uk in 2026. Instead of asking "why don't kids read any more", ask "how can I help them find the stories (and non fic) they will fall in love with". Less "get off my lawn whippersnappers" and more "come, sit on the lawn, here's a comic".

A split-image composition featuring two panels side by side. On the left, a color photograph of author Judy Blume seated at a glass desk in a home library setting. She has short, curly brown hair, wears a deep purple long-sleeved shirt rolled up at the cuffs, a watch, and a bracelet. Smiling warmly at the camera, she holds a pen in her right hand as if signing a book, with an open notebook or book in front of her and wooden bookshelves filled with colorful spines visible in the background. On the right, the front cover of Judy Blume's classic children's book "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret." The cover has a pink background with an illustration of a young girl with long blonde hair, wearing an orange patterned dress, standing outdoors in front of a house and garden. The title is in large white playful font, with the author's name "Judy Blume" below, and a small publisher's blurb at the top describing the book as a "Yearling Book" about Margaret Simon, "almost twelve and full of questions."
