It's not daft to think about the logistics, but writing it's definitely the most important thing! We all want the One Perfect System, don't we? And it probably doesn't exist.

Yes, I've heard good things about it. I suspect it's also much easier in your position, setting up a blog/newsletter from scratch, than moving platforms with an existing one.

This sounds great. I think there are some good reasons to avoid Substack; other people have mentioned Tom Cox's experience and quite a lot of other writers have decided to leave.

I' suddenly remembered printers used to have devils! There's a great demon mentioned here called Titivullus, who collects missed/forgotten words and takes them to Satan, and I did NOT know about the connection between Faustus and the printing press.
