Actual (kinda interesting) answer - it's a distortion of a French word meaning "good luck charm."

Difficulty: I can buy entertainment (books, comics, videogames, tabletop) far faster than I can use it

Result: a huge "shelf of shane" of my unread books and unplayed games.

Solution: keep buying more, obviously.

I've never been to New York ComicCon but my general take of the comic cons I have been to is "chance to meet media celebs" and "pay for the privilege to shop."

O steam sales, why do you tempt me so? It's not like I have time to enjoy videogames these days anyway.

YouTube has, for some reason, started showing me ads for products "designed for middle age and elderly men."

And I'm going to sit with that for a bit.

I live here and I can barely keep up. I try to keep myself focused. And, sometimes, succeed.

I was called a "good soul" at an event yesterday, by a parent after they got photos. That's.... well, I hope he's right.

I was in 3rd grade when TMNT really started taking off. I had all the figures too, and even then I remember loving Usagi Yojimbo, the rabbit samurai - which was weird because afaik he appeared in no TMNT media. I knew there were comics of his adventures but I never read them.

Until today. 😁🐇🤺

Leaning strongly towards going but have made no actual plans to do so. I should probably get on that.
