Simply the worst!

Penalties are simply the worst.

The squirrels and I are having an absolute turf war! No amount of shoo-ing or arm waving dissuades them. My only recourse was to find planter covers and now they express their displeasure with making a mess everywhere not covered.

The bag of candy I picked up at the health food store definitely tastes like it came from the health food store. Probably for the best we didnt get any trick-or-treaters.

Maybe after the 15th inning, they have to start pitching underhand.

However, I highly endorse taking a day to sit on the hotel room sofa, ignore family texts, eat snacks, read books, and look at the ocean.

My mom and I are in the middle of a two week trip "back home" for her class reunion and to visit family. I'm trying to make this feel more like a vacation than obligation, since you never get to be a tourist in your own town.

THEY DID IT! (And luckily the channel switched back in time).

Someone at the affiliate must have heard me as well...it has been switched back but missed an inning.

This entire hotel just heard me yell when the Mariners game channel suddenly switched to damn Big Bang Theory rerun.

I am watching said game while out of town in a hotel and the channel just switched programming to a Big Bang Theory rerun.

The other day I actually walked up to a birding group to find out what they were all looking at.

If it's not malicious, then I won't hope they stepped in the (omg everywhere) cemetery goose poop.

I stubbornly refuse to look up the meaning of "6. 7".
Just wondering why random Youths were shouting it from the cemetery pathway while we were visiting my grandparents' graves.

What level of adulting is it to tell your parents that because they procrastinated, it's going to cost more.

Ma'am, if you're going to park your husband in a chair and let him watch videos on a tablet (like a toddler) while you shop, you must get him some headphones. His true crime podcast is ruining the vibe of the throw pillow aisle.

My friend and I refer to him as "Who's That?".

Doesn't matter how many things I've (apparently) seen him in, I cannot remember who he is supposed to be from scene to scene.

I'm now wondering if there's such a thing as a clear front dishwasher? Do I need to hang a high gloss real estate ad with "prime spaces still available" emblazoned on it?

Back in my studio assistant days, I had to know "who was who". Now it is quite a relief to just scroll on by.

I second the Seattle Art Museum rec (and not just because I'm a member!) - excellent Ai Weiwei retrospective there now. Also MoPop and the glass museum.
It is cruise ship season, so if you go to Pike Place be prepared for *crowds*.

Wrapped up the job with some kind words from everyone and an awkwardly timed surprise cake (bag in hand, and leaving to meet with HR).

But *surely* there's nothing odd about my Boss and Company Boss casually hanging around outside the conference room where I did my (candid) exit interview.

When I told my boss my last day would be Friday, he said "last day for what?"....and I had to bluntly say "for working here".

This is my last week at the place I have worked at for eleven years.
Truly, I'd be more excited if I wasn't still having to do my job while trying to wrap up my job.

My two friends who work as "energy healers" aren't walking around with back spasms like I am.

I live in a particularly woo-woo corner of the PNW with varying levels of crunchy granola to luxury. And I will say, those gals have got glowing skin and excellent posture.

It's a very bleak 70s visual vibe, but Dagliesh is well tailored.
