Americans! Groundhog Day! I have questions!

How do you *know* Phil saw his own shadow and how does he tell you there are six more weeks of winter? Does he squeak six times or something?
Iโ€™m baffled.

Please may I have some love through the internet lines?
My beloved old collie died in his sleep and my heart is broken.

One of my sheep went on her back and was so covered in mud that she had to have a warm โ€˜bedโ€™ bath but is in her own pen out of the icy wind. My boy would have sat with her.

Every bit of Scottish/Gaelic culture movingly at Alex Salmondโ€™s memorial in St Giles. Our songs, our poems in our Kirk - emotional heartfelt & epic. The Proclaimers Cap in Hand almost unbearably poignant. Tx to organisers & all performers. Message clear. Yes movement must unite

To all Jock Tamsonโ€™s bairns,
What an huge inspiration Alex Salmond was and is. We have a wee bit to go but we will get there.

Hello to our American friends!

We donโ€™t celebrate Thanksgiving in Scotland but Iโ€™m grateful for your photos, words of wisdom, creativity and humour.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I think Iโ€™m one of the few people who doesnโ€™t have a mobile phone! I detest them.
We all think we saw the ISS though! The sky is crystal clear tonight.

Thank you for this! I was wrapped in a duvet (being saft) trying to see the ISS but hadnโ€™t a clue where to look.
Beautiful night but absolutely Baltic.

Dear UK media, here is something you should know by now, but just in case . . Wales is not part of England. Northern Ireland is not part of England. Scotland is not part of England. The UK is not England. England is not the UK.

Bobbyโ€™s Bus Shelter on Unst - the most Northerly of the Shetland Islands
The council planned to remove it in 1996 but thanks to the efforts of 7 year old Bobby it was saved - since then it has been furnished and decorated every year.2020

It feels wrong to โ€˜likeโ€™ this photo of a grave but itโ€™s an astonishing place of eternal rest.
Dignified, somber and humbling.

Had a patient in recently. Owns a restaurant. Their energy bills have gone from ยฃ1000 to over ยฃ5000. To cover this a ยฃ10 plate would have to go to ยฃ50... Our decimated high street aren't from Holyrood or SNP policy but Westminster energy policy. Scotland needs full control of its energy.

Thank you! It was such a happy day and well below freezing.
The only bit of comfort was a new feed bag seat liner (doubled) as the old one had been well chewed by something.
He won a first for feering and a bag of potatoes in the raffle!

Deeply moved at seeing the farmers gathering to protest and so sad that it has come to this.
I know we are hated because, you know, we all wear Rolex and have diamonds on our wellies like the propaganda tells people.

If you have eaten this morning, we have provided the food.

Sheese is really good to eat on a sandwich but pricey and a bit difficult to find. Asdaโ€™s own is not very good.
Itโ€™s the only thing I miss, a really good strong cheddar with bits of salt in it.

They never really got vegan cheese right but M&S do an okish mature cheddar, Violife is really insipid but their feta is really nice, Cathedral City mature cheddar melts well and is quite tasty in pasta dishes.

Am going along to cheer on the ploughmen and ploughwomen locally. Huge amount of skill in the field and I hope the horse drawn ploughs are coming.
Freezing cold here so wearing about fifty coats and hats. Donโ€™t say anything about the hot water bottles, these people are tough and hardy.

Supporting the local ploughmen and ploughwomen today. Amazing skills on the field, all ages. Minus temperatures but these people are pretty tough and hardy.
