Zevon making the rock hall leaves me conflicted, in that I’m thrilled he’s being recognized by an entity that I consider to be ridiculous and irrelevant. And yes of course I’ll watch to see who shows up to play his songs.

Gen X-ers had the same experience in the early ‘90s during the post-Reagan/Bush recession. Busted my ass to get my first “real” job and got laid off in less than a year when my department was eliminated. Most of us turn out ok.
