The paragraphs detail government-funded companies that engage in US ICE-related detainment and imprisoning of non-Americans regardless of immigration status or legal safety. The companies profit from hundreds of millions of dollars from ICE contracts and work to put detainees in prison for as long as possible for maximum profit.
Iβm in a long-distance relationship with a Canadian. Iβve been aware of ICE and their bleak actions for some time. But this whole article hit me on a personal, relevant level.
And then thereβs this profit from shuffling non-Americans around. If thatβs not human trafficking I donβt know what is.
