People like Joel Berry are absolutely enraged right now. They perceive the rightness of the surge of anger against Trumpism and the decency and righteousness of people like Alex Pretti. They cannot endure those things, because they know they are petty, grubby, immoral, and sordid in comparison.

They had him on the ground. Six agents pinned him down. They disarmed him. They removed his gun from its holster. And THEN they shot him. Ten times. To repeat. AFTER they pinned him to the ground, and AFTER they disarmed him, they shot him. Ten times.

They murdered him.

Really hard to look at this and all the other examples of bravery and kindness from ordinary people in this moment not think also of the tremendous cowardice exhibited over the past year by some of the richest, most well-protected people in business, media and politics

Our government killed a man yesterday. And instead of demanding & opening an investigation into the killing, our government IMMEDIATELY labeled the man a “domestic terrorist.” Immediately.
