okay i straight up didnt know this but the arcade/famicom games are called 忍者龍剣伝 (ninja ryuukenden/legend of the ninja dragon sword) in japan but the 3d series is called ninja gaiden but its not 忍者外伝 but rather NINJA GAIDEN in english/ニンジャガイデン in katakana

i thought the demo was pretty good for what its going for even though it wasnt my thing entirely. but no that is the actual best part of the game.

the funniest/saddest part to me is how after ultima casts primogenesis the game gets this stupid purple filter you have to endure for like 20 hours.

something the remake cannot capture because we have to wait three years for the snowboarding after the end of disc 1

its just a bad lifeless game with a nonsensical and insensitive story and following decade old trends so its completely antithetical to everything i expect from final fantasy. but at least the gamefeel is better than ff15 i guess.

i have xenoblade 2, i dont think i have any others. i dislike ff16 but only really because its a final fantasy, if it was any other below average game i wouldnt care so i dont think it counts.

the boss fight phase shifts are so abrupt it feels like someone pressed the skip button on a cd player it genuinely feels so rushed and amateurish

i always feel bad abt criticising the music in this game because soken was going through a lot of stuff at the time but he claimed that the dynamic music system is so good it will feel like there is a mini-soken inside your ps5 and then it is just flat out worse than both ffxv and 7r

Lorewise my team is quite funny because LordKnightmon and Omnimon are Royal Knights and Beelzemon and Lucemon are two of the Seven Demon Lords. When I got to this bit in the game I had to laugh. His name is Creepymon because in Japanese hes just called "Daemon" but that would be confusing in English
