I've been haunted by what the State has done to Adriana Smith and I appreciate you naming it so clearly.

The Democratic Senate Majority Leader saying that the Supreme Court allowing BASIC HEALTH CARE for trans kids is a "diversion" is deeply transphobic and dismissive. It would be like saying Dobbs was a "distraction" or "Plessy v. Ferguson" is a distraction. The gall of this man, truly.

The crusade against trans kids isn't an attempt to divert attention; it is THE POINT. It's not a diversion to a trans kid in a state with a GAC ban. It's not a diversion to a trans adult who feels invalidated by this egregious ruling.

Stop treating trans kids like pawns and FIGHT FOR THEM.

John Burt, a former member of the KKK, became a rabid anti-abortion activist in the 80s. He personally recruited, radicalized, and trained Michael Griffin and Paul Hill, the two men who murdered Pensacola abortion providers Dr. David Gunn and Dr. John Bayard Britton, and clinic escort James Barrett.

There's a long history of overlap between radical anti-abortion activists and white supremacist domestic terrorists. Radical anti-abortion activism has often served as a gateway to white supremacist terrorism. It can serve as the canary in the coal mine, yet it's so often ignored. A thread:
