Excited to share that I had the opportunity to work with the @inquirer.com on a logo concept for Philadelphia’s future WNBA team!

Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green, but the bottom left corner is chewed completely off. There is a white chew toy on the floor, too, so clearly the offending pooch had options.

Image of rip current. When waves crash into the shore they must return to the ocean. A rip current is a current traveling back into the ocean. Waves will break on either side of the rip current, but the rip current will look smooth and clear and safe. However, once you are in it you will be pulled out to sea. Your instinct will be to fight the current and swim toward shore. Don't do that! Let it carry you out they usually release you not far from shore. As you feel the current ease it's grasp swim parallel to shore until you feel it let go completely. Once you hit waves again you can easily swim to shore. People die because they fight the current, grow tired and drown. Don't fight it!

Here are excellent examples of rip currents. They are deadly because they look so still and safe. See how the waves break on either side of the still water? The rip current is the water returning to the sea. If you get caught in it, it will pull you out as well. The current usually releases you not far from shore. DO NOT FIGHT THE CURRENT. Allow it to carry you, while swimming parallel to the shore. When you feel it let go-you will usually be back in the wave area- then you can swim to shore.

HOW TO SPOT A RIP CURRENT & ESCAPE IT
I post this on my personal page once a year, but with Malcolm-Jamal Warner's recent death I thought it was a good lesson for everyone.
Rip tides are deadly b/c they look like calm water. People often swim with their children in them to avoid waves. However, ⬇️
