There’s another neat trick you used to be able to do 20 years ago as a US student ambassador and travel without a passport as well but I still brought one because customs is scary.

Literally, the only quality of life features my 23 year old SUV lacks compared to the modern luxury car is AC Seats and adaptive cruise. That’s not worth $800 a month imo.

Even adding wireless CarPlay only took an afternoon, basic hand tools and $300.

I succumbed to peer pressure and got a “appropriate car for my role” and while it was nice, the payment/insurance sucked. I was almost glad the dealer totaled it, opening those funds to invest in a local non-profit.
